Conestoga-1 COMET-1 recoverable capsule October 23, 1995 Mission Duration: Launch Failure Hardware Flown:   MDA (3rd Generation)  2 MDA minilabs Commercial/industrial/ experiments Primary Mission Objective:  was to provide low-cost, recoverable access to space for microgravity experiments and to stimulate growth in U.S. commercial space business. The Conestoga COMET/METEOR failed to reach orbit due to a launch vehicle problem and the program was terminated.  ITA lost two MDAs.
