John M. Cassanto John Cassanto - Team Leader & Program Manager. He is a pioneer in the microgravity community having been one of the first in the commercial space sector to negotiate a MOA with NASA to fly private commercial payloads aboard the Space Shuttle.  He has now flown 25 space missions on the Shuttle, ISS, Mir and sounding rockets. Ron Jones Ron Jones - Launch Team Deputy Program Manager, BSE Business Development Manager and primary corporate customer interface.  While Ron has worked in the space program for most of his career, primarily on the Space Shuttle, these days he also works for the Boeing Company developing and implementing Lean+ initiatives for the F-15 and F/A-18 fighter jet programs.    Valerie Cassanto Valerie Cassanto - Valerie is the Lead Sample Loading Technician, a position she has held for 16 space missions.   She has worked in the space field for more than 20 years.  She also works at the Goddard Earth Science and Technology Center as a Program Coordinator.  Formerly she managed the International Space University’s (ISU) summer programs.

Dr. Dennis Morrison Dr. Dennis Morrison – Dennis is the BSE Team Science Lead and Co-Principal Investigator on the ITA corporate Urokinase Cancer Project which has been ongoing since STS-43 which flew in 1991.  He is the former Senior Biotech Project Scientist at the Medical Science Division at the NASA JSC.  There he invented the Spiral Vane Bioreactor and was chief designer of the ITA-NASA microencapsulation electrostatic processing system (MEPS) system fabricated by ITA which flew on STS-95 and ISS.  Most recently he served as the Senior Vice President of Technology for Farouk Systems and conducted proprietary research on ITA’s payloads flown on STS-134 and STS-135.   Dr. Kris Tesh – Kris recently joined the BSE Team as Chief Crystallographer.  He is a Biochemist and Research Assistant at the University of Houston.  He is highly respected in his field and flew an experiment on board STS-135.  He is also an aspiring astronaut.   Dr. Nicolas Fingland Dr. Nicolas Fingland – Nick is our newest Sample Loading Technician and team biologist.  He has just completed his Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Georgetown University Medical Center, focusing on the effect of acidic phospholipids present in the E. coli membrane on DNA replication.  He flew an experiment on STS-134 and the International Space Station (ISS) and is an aspiring astronaut.  
Jane Farrington - Jane is an MDA/LMA Sample Loading Technician.  She is a veteran of many ITA space shuttle mission teams.  She also works as a Researcher for the Laboratory of Cellular Molecular Biophysics at the National Institute of Health (NIH).    Al Alvarado - Al is the LMA (Liquid Mixing Apparatus) Program Manager, an instrument that Al invented that has now flown on numerous missions of the Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS).   Al is a veteran of many space mission launch teams.    Don Alberts - Don is the MDA hardware technician.  He is a veteran of many space shuttle mission launch teams.  He is also the organization Lead for procedures and quality Control.     
Nicole Panunzio - Nicole is an MDA technician.  She has worked as technician on ITA’s flight hardware for many years and is a veteran of many space missions.  She is also a senior Clinical Data analyst at ViroPharma, Inc. Dr. Jurgen Sygusch Dr. Jurgen Sygusch - Dr. Sygusch is a crystallographer with a long standing interest in the application of microgravity to protein crystal growth.  He is a professor of Biochemistry at the University of Montreal.  He is the Urokinase Experiment Co-PI.
